This minimally invasive treatment is relatively painless with a topical application of anesthetic cream for about 30 minutes prior to the treatment. Micro-injuries are created on the skin surface that penetrate to a depth to increase collagen production. This process takes approximately 28 days to take full effect as the natural process of skin turnover takes place. It is recommended to repeat Skinpen for three treatments to stimulate collagen for best results. Packages are available to reduce cost and keep you on a schedule for optimal boosting potential. Then, you can continue to repeat the treatment for maintenance as you desire. Most patients enjoy this maintenance at least twice per year after the initial series. What you can expect after the treatment: *You will be very red after the treatment (it looks like a sunburn, but not bloody as some social media posts claim.) The combination is very moisturizing and calming. *Your skin will stay red and inflamed for 24-72hrs depending on your skin type and tendencies with healing.
